“I think we consider too much the good luck of the early bird and not enough the bad luck of the early worm.”

If I didn't have any bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all.

Halloween weekend, I went to a town called Bristow...about an hour away from "home"...Bristow is home to my favorite antique store.  I put some fabulous furniture on layaway...long story short, I went to finally pick it up tonight after work.  All was great and well until about I was about twenty miles from my destination.  I started hearing this AWFUL noise...it sounded like I have one of those teeny tiny Honda Civics with the gigantic pipes that are almost as big as the car itself.  Let me be very clear that I don't want a car that sounds like this.  At all.  Come to find out, I have an exhaust leak...and I still had to drive home...sounding like the badass with the huge pipes.  I drive a Chrysler Pacifica...not exactly the kind of vehicle that you make those changes to.  It's almost Christmas, and now I have to get repairs done to my car.  On top of one of my windows not rolling up...which I'm sure can cost a pretty penny.  Bah, Humbug.

I left work at 5:00...and didn't get home until after 8.  I'm exhausted.  No pun intended.

I did get my fantastic furniture...which is still in my car...I'll try to get it out before I go to bed - although i still have zero clue where I'm going to put this stuff...AND I picked up a new mirror.  Each time I step foot in that store, I can't leave without getting something else.  I just LOVE it.  LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

It's my little hidden gem.

Now....to try to relax...today, I'm definitely the worm...not even close to being the bird.

Try again tomorrow...

I gave in....here are my newest antique finds.  I am in LOVE with them.  All of them...did I say that already?

I can't wait to figure out where to put them....Now, they just look like random pieces of furniture but soon...very soon, they will fit into my eclectic life.
