“Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses.”

With the warm & fuzzy feelings that the holidays bring...I've been thinking a lot lately about the things for which I'm forever grateful.  Even in the most difficult of times, there is always a handful of things that make you look at things from another perspective and say, "it could be a lot worse.."
(that's one of my favorite pieces of advice to my friends and family)

Having a steady job (that I LOVE) and a roof over my head, a vehicle to drive...gas money to fill it with...clothes on my back and a heater to turn on when I'm cold are all very nice things, of course-and who wouldn't be thankful for those things; but when it comes down to it, there are a few things that really just hang my moon....especially these three little guys below...

Here are a few of those pieces of my crazy life that make me smile each and every day.

Family
Oliver, Payne & Baby Finley

Having a simple night out with old, dear friends.

Being SO tired all day because you stayed up too late...waiting on a first kiss..

Friends....Near and FAAAAAR.

Waking up early on your own, to realize that you have an
hour left before you really have to get moving...

Funny texts like this between bffs.

Food Network.  Period.

Having dreams about friends you've lost...and wake up
feeling like you were just hugged by an angel.

Knowing that you have more than one soul mate...and they
are your friends...and you're ok with that.
