I cannot believe I haven't written about this yet. I'll keep it short and SIMPLE. See, I'm already catching on to this simplify thing. :)
Saturday morning, after I'd decided to steal my dear Star's car...when I opened the door I was almost blown away. It smelled like death. Absolute death in her car. You know that scene from The Sweetest Thing when they find the to-go-swan in the back floorboard of the car? Yeah, that's the kind of moment that I had in Star's car.
Well, Star had taken a little doggie bag home from Nova...and either she tried to eat it on the way home or she kicked it. One way or another, it had escaped from it's styrofoam home and was covering her floorboard. Mashed potatoes and squash were smeared into the mats. It smelled like sour milk and rotten meat.
I was too concerned about the pups, so I just ran into the house when I got home. I kind of forgot about the nastiness in her car.
Jump to Saturday afternoon....
Shawn asked me about it...and I described to them what I had dealt with. Shawn asked if I would mind getting in there and cleaning it out? I told him I would, of course, and that I would spray some febreeze in there too for good measure.
Later that night, I met up with them to watch the Sooners....after I got home, I got a text from Shawn asking if I could remember to get the junk out of the car. OOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPPPSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! I gave Star back her keys!
They didn't pick up the car until Sunday afternoon. :)
This was Star's reaction when she opened her door.
There was steak in the seat, and everything else was literally caked all over the floor mats. EEEEEWWWW.
Good thing she had wet naps in her bag so she could clean it up!
I stood about a foot away and tried to spray febreeze in it as best I could without losing it. Star almost did....which then made me almost....it was a vicious cycle.
Thanks again for letting me borrow/steal your car. That's what friends do! :)
