“I'd rather have a moment of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.”

I woke up late for work this morning...stayed up too late baking and chit chatting.

All is well though, I got to sleep in...didn't have too busy of a day...and got to go home early.  My boss loaded me up with delicious chocolates from Harry and David and two poinsettias.  They're beautiful.  I've never had one.  Just saying that out loud makes me feel like an adult.  Sheesh.

I got my brother in law an autographed picture of Russell Westbrook - for his man cave that he'll have someday...and then I lost the freaking photo.  I, of course, put it off until the very last minute...but I found it.  Thank goodness.  Now I have to get baby Finn something and I'll be good to go.  But I'll do that tomorrow.

I cannot believe it's almost Christmas.  It was 75 degrees on Monday...now it is FREEZING.  Stupid Oklahoma weather.  If it's going to be this cold outside, I'd like to see some snow.  Would a little snow be possible?   Hello?  Weather gods??  Snow please??

Got home early, took a long bubble bath...made some spicy mac and cheese and now I'm about to get ready for my mom's annual Christmas party.  Then it's off to the bar to see a friend's new band play.  Should make for a good evening.  A bud from Colorado is in town and it'll be good to catch up with him..thinking about getting ready just made me really tired.  Maybe I'll take a quick nap first....

I'm so looking forward to relaxing for a few days....I don't have to go back to work until January 3rd.

Maybe I can talk my friends into a little getaway next week...end the year with a bang.  One last wonderful moment in this wonderful year.
