"A vacation is what you take when you can no longer take what you've been taking."

I somehow convinced my friends that we needed a mini vaca to end the year...just drive down south a bit and stay for a night...just to relax and getaway. 

We loaded up the dogs and a few necessities and we were off.

World, I'd like to introduce you to the Rockin' B Ranch House.  My sister owns this little oasis in the country...it's perfect for the pups, it's perfect if you have horses, it's perfect if you like to hunt and fish, and it's perfect if you don't like to do anything outdoorsy at all but just want some peace and quiet. 

It only takes about an hour to get down there...and once we did, we dropped off the dogs and headed a few miiles north to the Pauls Valley Wal-Mart.  Let me tell you.  There is nothing like going to the PV Wal-Mart on a Monday evening.  WooHoo was it fun...No.

We headed off to the house to start making some dinner.  Steaks and hot corn.  Yes please.

 I know that is not the most appetizing picture but it was DELICIOUS.  My vintage photo app made my ribeye look more like liver.  And my hot corn kind of looks like mush.  But trust me, it was fabulous.

We started the night (after dinner) with a nice little game of power hour...and then decided to light a fire and play some games.  Come to find out, my friends are really good at Mad Gab.  I, on the other hand, am not so good.

Desi seemed to enjoy herself.  Even with Carson trying to eat her entire face in one bite!  :)

We only stayed at the Rockin' B for one night...we were in NO hurry to leave the place.  The pups had a ball...we had a ball...even though we did nothing but eat and sleep...and sleep some more.  We will definitely go back.
