Some may think that I’m a bit off my rocker but I really don’t care.
I believe that when you really enjoy something, you should enjoy it as much as possible.
This week, I’m getting THREE things that I truly adore.
1. A vacation with my best friend Luke and our friend Nicole. Luke and I are fun on vacation together….hell, we’re fun anywhere, but especially on vacation.
2. Bon Jovi. JON BON JOVI. This will be my 7th time to see him perform. I saw him four times last year. Once, in New Jersey and it was in.cred.i.ble.
3. I’m going to NEW YORK CITY. I think I’m going to make this a yearly occurrence. The place is unreal.
So, let me sum this up….I’m going to NEW YORK CITY to see BON JOVI perform (again) with my BEST FRIEND.
Gee. No wonder I’m excited, right?
I cannot believe it's already almost time to go. This was my blog post when I found out we were going...

| Jon + Taylor Jane = LOVE. Duh. |
We have incredible tickets to the show, at Madison Square Garden. I have the PERFECT outfit for Jon…and we’re staying in CHELSEA. *I have a feeling that I’m going to be very annoying every time we’re in public – singing “Midnight in Chelsea”….but I’ll try to keep it under control…I make no promises though.
AND AND AND….Jon’s birthday is tomorrow…..do you think it would be overkill to bake him a cake and bring it to the show on Saturday? I kid. I kid. I wish, but I kid.
In honor of his greatest hits album – that’s ONLY $15.99…
Dear Jon:
Let me start by saying that this ain’t a love song letter. I offer no apologies for what I am about to write.
Thank you for loving me not slapping me with a restraining order just yet. These days you just can’t trust anyone – there are just so many creepers out there. Anywho, I’m coming to visit you again. We leave on Thursday. I hope I don’t get lost highway trying to find Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
I want to wish you a VERY happy birthday tomorrow. You don’t look a day over 28. Let’s celebrate the day you were born to by my baby this weekend!! I wanted dead or alive to get backstage passes so I could bring you a bed of roses birthday cake but I couldn’t find any.
We had a slight change of plans, we weren’t born to follow going to stay a little bit closer to the Garden, but now we’re staying in a different neighborhood. What do you got going on after the show on someday I'll be Saturday night? Do you ever stay in NYC? I heard you had an apartment there. After the show, who says you can’t go home come hang out with us? You should meet us at midnight in Chelsea. After all, we are traveling all the way from Oklahoma. I don’t think Dorothea will mind if you don’t make it back to Jersey. Just tell her that you went to Chelsea to lay your hands on me have a beer with the guys. She’ll understand. She’s not very into blood on blood violence is she? And remember, if she gets mad, I’ll be there for you.
I hope I don’t get sick while I’m there…I’m scared that I’ll get some bad medicine or something. I’d hate to have to runaway from you if I was contagious. I’ll keep the faith taking my vitamins so I’ll be ok. When we were beautiful there last year, I started to get sick and it finally dawned on me that this is love this is life happens, no matter how many vitamins you take.
Are you going to the more things change outfits at this concert? I love it when you do that. I have a framed photo of you in my living room. You were wearing a black leather vest and black tight little pants. I think you were singing Blaze of Glory. It’s a photo of you singing in Dallas last year. I think it was your second outfit. You should really wear that again.
I hope you don’t think it’s overkill that I’m writing you this letter, it’s my life all in good fun. You’re a funny guy, I’m sure you'll get it. Hey, text/email me if you want to make a memory this weekend...Or just come see me at the show. We are going to be in section 6, front row, seat 5. I know sometimes you come out into the audience, and I’d love to take a photo of you in these arms. I’ll say livin on a prayer about it tonight. Stranger things have happened.
Have a nice day and remember that you ALWAYS have a place to stay when you come to Oklahoma.
Disclaimers:
*If you just read that and don’t get it. Please don’t read my blog anymore. Seriously. We can’t be friends. It’s for the best, I assure you.
*It just dawned on me that I have now written my very first “Dear Jo(h)n letter”. I giggled.
*Yes, I know that runaway is used in the wrong context. BUT….deal with it!
*Dorothea, I hope I did not offend you.
*Jon, I feel like I need to tell you that is really where I am sitting on Saturday. See you then!!
*And THAT, my friends, is how you write one hell of a letter to Jon Bon Jovi.
***I feel like I have to say that I am not really a crazy, obsessed fan (yeah right, everyone says that). Jon is in no danger by my attending ANOTHER one of his shows. He’s just an incredible entertainer and I wish everyone I know was able to see him at least once in their lives. The humility that man shows when he is on stage is breathtaking. You can’t fake that my friends. AND, (as I’ve said before), Livin’ on a Prayer LIVE, is one of the most incredible things you will ever see. Jon looks in awe of his fans, as they sing each and every word. Seeing this at New Meadowlands was outrageous. I think I even heard Jimmy Hoffa singing.
That is all…..See you Saturday JON!!!! Oh, and Happy Happy Happy BIRTHDAY!! Can’t wait to celebrate on Saturday. And PLEASE, pretty PLEASE come back to Oklahoma City. Soon. XXOO

Its about time you updated woman!
ReplyDeleteOh Taylor, I just want to be you! At least until the weekend is over...Enjoy every moment, and how ARE you going to rush the stage without your "partner in crime"? Remember that NYC may not be as lenient as OKC, when it comes to rabid fans!

ReplyDeleteI hadn't really thought about my stage rushing technique yet. My liquid courage usually takes over so I think that lack of planning will be best. :) but you're right. It won't be the same with out me "partner in crime".
I guess we will find out just how lenient NYC actually is. Stay tuned. And you may want to keep your cell by you all night on Saturday. Just in case Dorothea gets me. Hehe.
